Dr. Garrison has been a faculty member in the Geoscience Department since 2007, and since 2019 has held a joint appointment as Director of the Natural Science Program. In addition to teaching courses in mineralogy, volcanology and igneous petrology, she conducts research and manages the igneous geochemistry and rock processing labs. Her research ranges from local undergraduate reserach projects in the Mojave Desert to international research in Ecuador.
