Los Angeles Urban Teacher Residency, an 18 to 24 month intensive credential and master’s degree program based at Cal State L. A., is still accepting applications! Founded on social justice principles, the program provides aspiring urban teachers with rigorous, practical coursework, training that includes co-teaching with a mentor teacher for an entire school year in high-need schools in Los Angeles, and a $25,000 living stipend. The CCOE will host its 2016 Day of the Educator event on Friday, May 6th from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in the Golden Eagle Ballroom. Special recognitions will be presented to students who completed their credential programs at Cal State LA between Spring 2015 to Winter 2016, those recommended for the 2015 Friends of the CCOE Scholarships, Outstanding Fieldwork Site Supervisors, Outstanding School Partners, and Outstanding University Supervisors.
