2017 COMMENCEMENT

The 2017 California State University, Los Angeles Commencement ceremonies are from May 20 to 22, 2017 at the University Stadium at the Billie Jean King Sports Complex. For three days, there will be nine college-based ceremonies where degrees will be conferred on graduating candidates. Please make sure to visit the commencement website regularly for up-to-date information about the ceremonies, tickets, regalia, parking and other important information.

PARKING

University parking is free for all Commencement ceremonies. Graduating candidates and guests will be directed to the following parking structures:

Structure A (All Levels)
Structure B (All Levels)
Structure C (Blue Level)
Lot 2
Lot 3 (Limited Accessible Parking, Requires Disability Placard)
Lot 8 (Accessible Parking, Requires Disability Placard)
 
Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once parking capacity has been met at a given lot, you will be directed to other parking structures on campus. Please note that parking in close proximity to the event may not be possible, therefore, long distances may be encountered. We urge all attendees to arrive early and carpool, or use public transportation. 
 
ADA Accessible Parking

Graduating candidates and guests with a DMV disabled parking placard or disabled plates will be directed to lots in close proximity to the University Stadium. Persons needing special assistance are encouraged to arrive up to 90 minutes prior to the ceremony.

If you are a graduating candidate or guest with physical limitations who does not own a disabled placard, the graduating candidate must stop by the Parking and Transportation Service Center at least three days prior to Commencement to obtain a special parking permit for an accessible lot (up to two permits per graduate). Please note that wheelchairs are not available on campus.

FIRST AID

First Aid Medic trucks with EMS crews will be on site to provide assistance to graduating candidates and guests with medical emergencies. The Student Health Center can provide assistance to graduating candidates in non-emergency situations.

ALTERNATIVE VIEWING AND LIVESTREAM

photo of President Covino at CommencementGuests looking for an alternative viewing location on campus can watch the livestream at Golden Eagle Ballrooms 1 and 2, 3rd floor of the Golden Eagle building. Tickets are not required to view the livestream.

In addition, the livestream of each Commencement ceremony will start five minutes before the event begins at www.calstatela.edu.
