The Division of Applied and Advanced Studies in Education offers programs of study leading to a variety of credentials and certificates, undergraduate, graduate degrees and doctoral degrees.

Credential and Certificate Programs
Credential programs are offered in Educational Administration: Preliminary Administrative Services (Tier I), along with the M.A. in Educational Administration, and Clear Administrative Services (Tier II). Certificate programs are also offered in Computer Applications in Schools Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language and Graduate Certificate Program in Teachers of English Learners.

Undergraduate Program
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Learning (ULRN) is an integrated teacher preparation program which combines major courses emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach to understanding urban learning as a social phenomenon with courses in teacher preparation. The major is supported by a depth area in social sciences with focus on diversity. Students in the major way select an option in elementary education which prepares them to teach in elementary schools or an option in special education which prepares them to teach in a variety of special education settings.

Graduate Programs
Our four masters programs are the Master of Arts in Educational Foundations; the Master of Arts in Education Technology Leadership; the Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages; and the Master of Arts in Educational Administration. Courses in Educational Research, Evaluation, and Statistics are offer as service courses to other degree programs.

In addition, the Division offers a doctoral program (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership (Specialization in Pre-K-12 Leadership).
