Welcome to your graduate and post-baccalaureate studies at Cal State LA!
The Office of Graduate Studies and Graduate Resource Center are pleased to welcome you to our community of scholars and professionals. Cal State LA is a state comprehensive university with an urban mission of engagement, service, and the public good, and we aim to support you in your journey to advance this mission. Each semester, we offer a New Graduate Student Orientation Session to guide you in the right direction as you embark on your graduate studies.
This orientation is not mandatory, but will prove to be incredibly helpful. Your department or college may also offer an orientation session, or as an international student you may be required attend an orientation hosted by the International Office; our session is not intended to replace these orientations, but will instead complement them.
Dates: Thursday, August 10, or Friday, August 18, 2017 (attend only one session)
Time: 2–5 p.m.
Location: Annenberg Science Complex, Rosser Hall 132 (formerly Wing B)
Parking: Structure A or Lot 2 are your best options, near the Eastern Avenue entrance to the campus. We strongly encourage you to purchase your semester permit online prior to orientation. Day and hourly parking is also available in Lot 1, Lot 2, and designated spots in Structure B.

Resource Fair, featuring representatives from various offices and organizations on campus. Students may also opt to use this time for any of the following:
