Emergency Preparedness

Welcome to the Cal State LA Emergency Preparedness Page!

The mission of Cal State LA Emergency Management is to enhance the safety, resilience, and preparedness of our campus community. We are dedicated to implementing comprehensive emergency management strategies, fostering a culture of proactive planning, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a swift and coordinated response to any crisis. Our commitment is to protect lives, safeguard property, and uphold the continuity of academic and operational functions, thereby promoting a secure and thriving environment for all members of the university community to learn and live.

Our goal is to develop, maintain, and sustain a campus-wide, comprehensive, all-hazard, risk-based emergency management program that engages the whole community and promotes personal preparedness.

"A good plan vigorously executed now is better than a perfect plan executed a week from now."
- General George S. Patton
