The Cal State LA Department of Public Safety is pleased to offer a new app, RAVE Guardian, which will let you use your smartphone to stay connected and stay safe on campus.
By downloading the app on your mobile phone, you will be able to directly contact officers at the Department of Public Safety, if needed. You can also enable push notifications as an additional way to receive campus emergency notifications and safety advisories.
The app offers a timed virtual escort feature, which allows you to designate friends and family as “Guardians” who will be notified about your status and location. It is like having an emergency blue light system and a trusted friend with you at all times.
The RAVE Guardian app, developed by Rave Mobile Safety, features a call directory and links to campus resources, including the Office of the Dean of Students, the CARE Team, and the Student Health Center.
We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to download this free app. Simply search for “Rave Guardian” in the app store (iPhone or Android) on your mobile device. Download the app, follow the prompts, and enter your phone number and Cal State LA email.
