Former California Governor Pat Brown was a transformative leader, connecting people to opportunity by expanding the state’s infrastructure and higher education systems and advancing civil rights. The Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs at Cal State LA continues that legacy by connecting people to policy by “unleashing the power of participation.” The Institute offers an array of enriching experiences that inspire and empower citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
