Reimagine your Campus with the Urban Ecology Center

The Urban Ecology Center was pleased to host Reimagine Your Campus with the Urban Ecology Center poster symposium on October 15, 2024. The symposium featured graphic presentations of students’ ideas, dreams, and aspirations of making Cal State LA a sustainable campus where everyone belongs, and all species find a home.

On November 28, 2023 participants gathered for an engaging seminar led by Dr. Ziter. Titled "Understanding Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Across Urban Landscapes," the event sparked insightful discussions on the intricate relationship between urban environments and biodiversity conservation. Dr. Ziter's expertise shed light on the vital role of ecosystem services in maintaining ecological balance within cityscapes.

On August 31, 2023 a diverse audience convened for a thought-provoking lecture by Dr. Kiyoko Gotanda titled "Adaptation in a Changing World: Human Influences on Evolution." With keen interest, attendees delved into the complexities of evolutionary biology, examining how human activities intertwine with natural processes.
