Student Assistant

Sheyla Bairez is a first-year Social Work major who is deeply passionate about supporting families and children. Drawn to the field by a strong desire to create meaningful change in her community, she is especially interested in the ways social work empowers individuals and strengthens family systems through advocacy, support, and access to resources. Outside of school and work, Sheyla enjoys expressing her creativity through music and crafts. She loves making funky fashion pieces, designing and creating her own bracelets, necklaces, and customized clothing. She also values quality time with her family and cherishes moments spent together.
