Safe Zone trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. Having a deeper familiarity and comfort with vocabulary, inclusive practices, and privilege can help you identify ways that we can continue to be a safer and more inclusive space for our LGBTQ+ coworkers and students. Fill out this form if you’re interested in participating in a future Safe Zone training, and you will be contacted later this summer for scheduling.

LA Pride's History

Christopher Street West (CSW), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, organized the world’s first permitted parade advocating for gay rights on June 28, 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall Rebellion on Christopher Street in New York City the year prior. Over 50 years later, we have built a rich history as an active voice for the LGBTQ+ community across the Greater Los Angeles area.

LA Pride's Mission

While we’re best known for producing the LA Pride Parade & Festival (one of the largest Pride celebrations in the country, thanks to you!) we also organize, sponsor or support other community events in and around Los Angeles, and work with our nonprofit, philanthropic, community and corporate partners to celebrate the entire LGBTQ+ community of LA.
