This page is for former undergraduate students who completed at least one term at Cal State LA and want to return after a break in enrollment or academic disqualification.

You may not need to reapply

You left Cal State LA in good academic standing; and
You have been away for two years or less.

In that case, submit a Return from Educational Leave form to the Records Office.

Spring 2027 Admissions

Priority Application Filing Period is Jul. 1 – Aug. 31, 2026

Open for domestic transfer & returning students in select majors (closed for Nursing BSN)
Not open to international applicants
Admission requirements must be completed by end of Summer 2026

Fall 2027 Admissions

Priority Application Filing Period is Oct. 1 – Nov. 30, 2026

Cal State Apply opens for preview on Aug. 1
Application deadline may vary by major and returning student type
Open to domestic and international returning applicants in all majors
Admission requirements must be completed by end of Spring 2026
