Admissions Timeline
Fall Applicants
- November: Admission decisions begin to go out.
- In January, some applicants will be notified to return to Cal State Apply to update their application by entering earned Fall grades and making any needed changes to planned Spring courses.
- Don’t send transcripts or other documents unless we request them.
Spring Applicants
- October: Admission decisions begin to go out.
- No application update is needed. If you are admitted, be ready to submit official transcripts.

- We will send updates to the email address you used for your Cal State Apply application.

- Get connected! Instructions on how to activate your MyCalStateLA ID and enable 2-Step Verification were emailed to you.
- Once set up, you can access your MyCalStateLA portal to access GET (Golden Eagle Territory) and your campus email.

Check the GET Student Center Often
Log in to your myCalStateLA portal and access your GET Student Center to:
- View your GET To Do list
- See university messages in the Communication Center
- Update your directory information, including your preferred email, mailing address, and phone number

Can I appeal the admission decision?
Yes. If you believe your application was denied by mistake, you can submit an appeal.
- You must submit your appeal within 15 days of receiving your denial notice.
- Be sure to include your reason for appealing and any transcripts and test scores that support your case.
