National & International Scholarships and Fellowships Program

The National & International Scholarships and Fellowships Program (NISFeP) supports students in pursuing off-campus scholarships and fellowships that offer transformative and challenging experiences in the areas of academic and applied research, and global and civic learning. We work closely with students throughout the process, helping them strengthen their relationships with faculty mentors and develop their ability to present their knowledge, ideas, values, accomplishments, and goals succinctly and effectively.

Located within the Honors College, NISFeP assists all Cal State LA students in identifying and applying for off-campus scholarships, fellowships, academic experiences, and prestigious awards. We disseminate this information through colleges, departments, campus publications, our website, and personalized student meetings. We review application materials for students before they submit them to national competitions, providing feedback for revisions. Furthermore, we conduct mock interviews to prepare students for national-level interviews. And finally, we also offer workshops on personal statement writing and how to apply to certain opportunities and receive NISFEP Endorsement.
