This website provides information about the services available to students with disabilities.   Consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, it is the policy of California State University, Los Angeles, that no otherwise qualified person with a disability shall be subjected to discrimination because of that disability under any program or activity conducted or sponsored by the University.

The goal of OSD is to provide a physically and educationally accessible educational environment that ensures an individual is viewed on the basis of ability, not disability.  The staff work individually with students to determine appropriate and reasonable academic accommodations, and to ensure that students' academic performance is evaluated apart from the limiting effects of disability.
