Student Health Ambassadors at Cal State LA (SHAC) serve to educate students about health and wellness, advocate for policies to benefit student health on campus and empower students to be agents of change within the campus community.

What We Do

For the Campus

SHAC members plan health and wellness programs and activities for the campus community, including:

  • Health and wellness promotion
  • Health Huts
  • Organizing guest speakers
  • Student wellness fair
  • Student health surveys
  • Wellness Workshops

For Our Members

Members have opportunities to participate in training to support their personal and professional growth. Activities may include:

  • College health conferences
  • Mental Health First Aid Training
  • Meet and greet with the Student Health Center staff
  • National Peer Health Educator Certification
  • Career development workshops
