The Summit of Possibilities series represents one component of the SELA Initiative. The Summit was developed through a partnership between the California Community Foundation and the Pat Brown Institute and supports the research strategic goal of the SELA Collaborative. (The Institute is a charter member of the SELA Collaborative’s Steering Committee.)
The summits place a spotlight on the key decisions facing the community, civic leaders, and policy-makers. For each summit, the partners commission research with the intent to inform stakeholders about the ways in which Southeast Los Angeles can identify, harvest, and develop its unique assets and voice. Past summit have focused on issues such as SELA’s transportation and its assets.
