REGISTRATION AND TICKETING

Please make sure to click and read all the sections below to get more information about the registration and guest ticketing process.

Registration and guest ticketing ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024. The MarchingOrder online ticketing platform will automatically close so please complete your transaction before the deadline date.

Each graduating student who registers to participate will be allotted up to seven (7) guest tickets for their ceremony during the online registration period listed above.

All guests 3 years of age and older will require a ticket to attend Commencement and enter the venue. Children ages 2 and under can attend Commencement without a ticket, provided they sit on an adult's lap and do not occupy a seat. Each guest ticket has a unique bar code. Once scanned, copies of the same ticket will not be valid.

Please note that Commencement guest tickets are free and cannot be bought or sold. Under no circumstance should an exchange of money occur for tickets. Tickets that are bought or sold will be invalidated by the University.

Graduating students can register to participate, and reserve guest tickets, for the 2024 Commencement ceremonies on April 8, 2024, at 9 a.m. PT until April 26, 2024, at 5 p.m. PT through MarchingOrder's online ticketing platform.

For recent graduation applicants:

Graduation applications are processed by the Graduation Office and submitted to the Commencement Office every Tuesday and Thursday, each week, until May 16, 2024, for inclusion in Commencement. Applying for graduation does not automatically add you to the MarchingOrder ticketing system. Once the Commencement Office receives the update provided by the Graduation Office, the graduating student will be notified by the end of the next business day. Please be mindful of this when submitting your graduation application as it relates to Commencement deadlines.

The Grad Pass, the graduating student's ticket, will automatically be assigned to you once you complete your registration and be accessible in the MarchingOrder home page once you log in. It will also be emailed to you on April 29, 2024.

The Grad Pass must be presented by the graduating student at the student entrance (not guest entrance) to be scanned to enter the venue, and access the student check-in area to receive your pre-printed name card (the name card will be used for name announcement, name display, and photography).

The graduating student entrance is located underneath the venue, at the West Hall Lobby entrance from the West Hall Parking Garage. For safety and security, graduating students must pass through security protocols including metal detectors and possible bag check.

Online registration and guest ticketing will be available starting April 8, 2024, at 9 a.m. PT until April 26, 2024, at 5 p.m. PT.

Once you have registered and reserved your guest tickets, they can be printed or emailed to be displayed on a mobile device. To print or email your guest tickets and access your Grad Pass, log back in by visiting the MarchingOrder student login webpage. Log in as a "Returning User" using your @calstatela.edu email address (for Doctor of Nursing Practice candidates use the university email address we have on file) and enter the password you previously established in the ticketing platform.

Distribution of additional guest tickets are not guaranteed and it's dependent on participation rate and capacity. If additional tickets are distributed, graduating students who registered to participate will be notified on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Tickets cannot be requested via email and can only be acquired online during the registration period.

It is the graduating student's responsibility to register to participate and reserve guest tickets in a timely manner. After ticketing has closed, graduating students can still request to participate but are no longer guaranteed guest tickets due to venue capacity.

Registration and ticketing login information/confirmation will only be sent to your Cal State LA email address*.

*For the Doctor of Nursing Practice candidates, the email will be sent to the university email address we have on file.
