Registration & Ticketing
Registration and ticketing are now closed and unclaimed tickets are being allocated for each ceremony for distribution on Monday, May 9, starting at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. PT. For more information, please scroll down and visit the Additional Guest Tickets section.
Registration was available from April 15 at 9 a.m. PT to May 4 at 5 p.m. PT through MarchingOrder's online ticketing platform. The link to MarchingOrder’s online ticketing platform was sent to your Cal State LA email address* on April 15 before ticketing started.
The Grad Pass was emailed on May 6. The Grad Pass must be presented by the graduate at the entrance to enter the Commencement venue, as well as at the check-in area to receive your pre-printed name card (the name card will be used by the name reader and photographer).
To print or email your guest tickets and Grad Pass, please scroll down and visit the Email / Print Guest Tickets and Grad Pass section.
*For the candidates of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program through the Consortium of the Schools of Nursing at California State University, Fullerton, Long Beach, and Los Angeles, the email was sent to the University email address we have on file.
Each graduating candidate will be allotted four (4) guest tickets for their ceremony during the online registration period listed above.
All guests ages 2 and older will be required to have a ticket in order to gain admittance to the Commencement Pavilion. Infants (under 2 years old) will not require a ticket if seated on a parent or guardian’s lap. Each guest ticket has a unique bar code. Once scanned, copies of the same ticket will not be valid.
ADDITIONAL GUEST TICKETS
Only graduates who registered during the registration period of April 15 – May 4 will be able to access the additional tickets. Each graduate is eligible to reserve up to two tickets, but tickets are not guaranteed as each ceremony has a limited number of unclaimed tickets available. They are first come, first served. Once all unclaimed tickets are reserved, we are no longer able to provide additional tickets.
Unclaimed guest tickets will be distributed online via the same ticketing platform on Monday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT or until all tickets have been reserved (whichever is first).
To reserve the unclaimed tickets, simply log in as a returning user in the MarchingOrder login page. Please note that your login email address is what was used to register, and the password is what you established in the system.
Once you are logged in, there will be a “Manage Tickets” button. Click on this button and scroll to the drop down menu for ticket allocation. If you are not able to click on the drop-down menu, then that means that all unclaimed tickets have been reserved.
There will be a high volume of users on May 9 and you may experience some website lag time, which is unavoidable. Your Wi-Fi connectivity may also affect your access. If you encounter any validation problems when submitting, please clear your web browser’s cache.
EMAIL / PRINT GUEST TICKETS AND GRAD PASS
To print or email your guest tickets and Grad Pass, simply log in as a Returning User in the MarchingOrder login page. Please note that your login email address is what was used to register, and the password is what you established in the system.
Tickets cannot be requested via email and can only be acquired online during the registration period. It is each graduating candidate's responsibility to register to participate and reserve guest tickets in a timely manner. After ticketing has closed, graduating candidates can still request to participate but are no longer guaranteed guest tickets due to venue capacity. Registration and ticketing login information and confirmation will only be sent to your Cal State LA email address.
Commencement guest tickets are free and cannot be bought or sold. Under no circumstance should an exchange of money occur for tickets. Tickets that are bought or sold will be invalidated by the University.
