I joined the Department of Child and Family Studies in Fall, 2008. I am a Developmental Psychologist who has devoted my research career to conducting research that can help inform policy and practice to improve the environments in which young children develop. I was a Research Scientist at Columbia University's National Center for Children and Families from 1996-2002, and Research Scientist at the UCLA Center for Improving Child Care Quality from 2002 to 2009.
Having retired in 2014 I still maintain a part time teaching position in the Department of Technology at Cal State LA. I like to continue to inspire my students with my 30 plus years of teaching experiences while transitioning into my full retirement sometimes in the future.
