Karine Le Bris

INTRODUCTION

I am specialized in mid-infrared spectroscopy and its applications. My current research focuses on the detection of greenhouse gases and the determination of their impact on climate. My areas of teaching includes optics, thermodynamics, atomic and molecular physics, laser physics, atmospheric physics, astronomy and general physics.

Nancy McQueen, Professor of Microbiology and Associate Dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences

NTRODUCTION

Dr. McQueen received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the UCLA Medical School in 1986, followed by post-doctoral training in Biology at Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope. She joined the faculty at California State University, Los Angeles, as an Assistant Professor in 1989. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 1995, and to full Professor in 2000.

INTRODUCTION

I specialize in Biology Education, Big History, and Deep Biology research, alternating my time between the classroom and various natural history museums and science centers as a Professor of Biological Sciences and Science Education at California State University, Los Angeles. I work at the intersection of science and science communication to make science more meaningful and exciting for my students and the public.

Alison McCurdy


Dr. McCurdy is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, specializing in Organic Chemistry. Prior to coming to Cal State LA in 2002, she was an Assistant Professor at Harvey Mudd College.
