You're in!
Congratulations on your provisional admission to Cal State LA! Follow these important steps to finalize your admission and ensure a smooth transition to the University.
Next Steps
To secure your spot, be sure to complete all requirements on time. Otherwise, your admission offer may be withdrawn, and you won’t be able to enroll in the admitted term. If you decide not to enroll or withdraw from all courses, you will need to reapply in the future and meet the requirements in effect at that time.
Note: All offers of admission are provisional and subject to verification based on official transcripts and test scores.
Accept our offer of admission by submitting your $100 (USD) Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD).
ECD Deadlines
- May 1 for fall admission
- November 1 for spring admission
For more information, visit the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit webpage.
Your MyCalStateLA ID gets you access to a range of University services, including your student email and the Student Center known as GET (Golden Eagle Territory).
GET is where you view updates from University offices, register for classes, check your financial aid status and handle other student business.
More information about GET is available on the Registrar's GET webpage.
Admission offers are usually provisional because most first-time freshman applicants apply while in high school, with some requirements still in progress.
To finalize your admission eligibility, complete the following by the end of your senior year of high school:
- Successfully complete the required A-G courses with grades of C or better.
- Earn a GPA that is the same (or higher) than what was reported in your admission application.
- Graduate from high school.
- For Pre-Nursing Students: If you were admitted to Pre-Nursing, be sure to also meet the additional admission requirements.
Your admission may be finalized after we verify your official final transcripts (and test scores).
First-time freshmen are required to attend First Flight Orientation. The experience will prepare you for the transition to the University and includes academic advisement and help registering for classes.
Invitations will be sent out to admitted students who have submitted their Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD), beginning in February. All Orientation reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Orientation sessions for fall admitted students will take place over the summer.
For more information about orientation, visit the First Flight Orientation webpage.
Send us your official final high school transcript(s) showing the dates of graduation and, if applicable, any test scores.
Transcript / Test Score Deadlines
- July 15 for fall admission
- November 1 for spring admission
How to submit: For more information about how to submit official academic records to the Cal State LA Admissions Office, visit the Submitting Documents webpage.
Already graduated? Don't wait! Send us your high school transcript AFTER you submit your Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD).
College Course Transcripts
- If you took college courses in high school and those classes aren’t on your high school transcript, send a separate transcript from the college where you took the classes.
- If you took college classes in the summer before fall enrollment, send a separate transcript with those grades by September 1.
GET ToDo List
The ToDo List in GET Self-Service Center will list all transcripts, test scores, and any other documents that we need to complete your admission file. Click on the “To-Do Item” name for details, including the name of the specific school for a required transcript. Please turn in the requested documents by the stated deadline.
What Happens Next?
After we review your final academic records, your admission status in GET will be updated from INCOMPLETE to COMPLETED. If you didn’t meet the requirements, we will email you to let you know that your admission offer will be rescinded and that we will dis-enroll you from your Cal State LA classes.
The California State University (CSU) requires all students to be up to date on immunizations and to complete tuberculosis risk assessment per CSU Executive Order 803. Learn more on the Student Health Center immunization page.
