The Faculty Hoteling spaces are designed specifically for faculty as a temporary work area and used for their office hours. The two spaces are located in King Hall (KH B4006) and Simpson Tower (ST 512).
Note: Simpson Tower is closed until further notice.
It is inappropriate for a faculty member to hold classes or group sessions in this space. If a faculty member needs a larger space to accommodate a group of students, please reach out to your department coordinator for assistance.
Policies
- Room Access. Fill out and submit the online Faculty Hoteling Space Request form before the beginning of each semester. It may take a few days to process. The room’s door uses a card reader and 4-digit PIN to unlock. It is only accessible with your campus ID card and PIN setup with the Golden Eagle One Card office. You will be authorized to enter the office for one semester at a time. Please review the instructions on how to use your One Card to open the door: Door Access Instructions. For problems related to One Card access, please contact the GE One Card office at x3-6800 or go to the Student Services Building, room 2232.
- Lockers. Contact the Office of Planning and Budget to reserve a locker at [email protected]. Lockers are available for your use on a reservation basis for each term and are on a first come first served basis. You will need to provide your own lock. During semester break, all locks will be cut. Items from these lockers will be removed and turned in to campus police. The University is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Desks and Tables. All desks and tables are on a first come first serve basis. Do not leave personal items on desks or in drawers. Be respectful of other people’s belongings. The University is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Computers. All computers are on a first come first serve basis. Turn on the computer and log in the same way you would log in anywhere else on campus. The computers are networked to the copier for printing (For ST 512, GlobalProtect VPN login is required).
- Copying, Scanning, and Printing. Read the posted instructions on the wall by the copier on how to make copies and scans, as well as how to print from the computer. The Golden Eagle One Card will charge your department for all your print, copy and scans, so be mindful of your usage. There’s no way to print from your laptop/tablet to the printer, so save your document to USB or cloud storage and use the desktop PCs to print.
- Printer issues and paper. If the copier/printer runs out of paper or if the printer has errors/issues, call or email the Office of Planning and Budget at x3-3802 ([email protected]) to report the problem.
- Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is available throughout the suite.
- Phone. The phone is intended for internal campus calls only. There is no attendant to answer incoming calls. Please dial 3 first and then the four-digit extension for all campus calls. The phone cannot dial outside campus numbers or dial international calls.
- Microwave and Refrigerator. Label your food in the fridge. Cover your food when using the microwave and clean it after each use.
- General Questions. Call or email the Office of Planning and Budget at x3-3802 ([email protected]).
