Alternative Apparel Internship
This position will be based in their L.A. office

Alternative has been challenging the concepts of fashion since 1996. In the beginning, Alternative founder and creative designer Greg Alterman sold his t-shirt designs out of his car. His passion for designing the perfect t-shirt has since grown into one of today’s hottest apparel brands. Following Greg’s footsteps, all of us at Alternative believe that the t-shirt is an opportunity to express one’s self. We continue to bring together an extremely diverse culture of "Free-Thinking People" made up of artisans, musicians, designers, activists, students, and fashionistas alike. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT / DESIGN INTERN
Assist with product information books, cut swatches, send out dye lots
Organize samples, label and file samples
Organize sample storage, hang samples, order samples
Assist in pulling color chips, working on storyboards, general design help
Draw flats, input color into line art
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
General knowledge of patterning, specs, and garment construction
Photoshop & Illustrator
MS Office (word & excel)
