ART HISTORY SOCIETY
We are an organization dedicated to community involvement in the arts, and organize various Art History and educational events such as our annual Symposium. The purpose of this organization shall be to promote the appreciation of art, to discuss all the different ideas in this field of study, to give the opportunity to all students of the Art Department and Art History in particular, and to exchange points of view and participate in creative activities related to the field.

GRAVITAS ANIMATION SOCIETY
As Cal State LA’s first Animation Society, we have provided our members with the opportunity to collaborate and discuss animation together since 2009. We utilize our studio space and equipment in order to help students expose and exhibit their work for a wonder of opportunities ahead — and we have fun while doing it too! We empower students in competing in the global market by bringing in industry professionals to speak, and we aim to improve skill through workshops and demonstrations. We also provide guidance in personal and professional development as students make their way through college and prepare for life after graduation.
