To enroll in direct deposit all of the following steps are required:

Log into Cal Employee CONNECT (CEC) portal. Brand new employees need to wait for their first paycheck to activate CEC account
Activate Multifactor Authentication (MFA) through the CEC portal user profile page
Be connected to the University internet network or VPN
