CONFERENCE HOTEL

This year’s conference will be held at the Downtown Courtyard Marriott in Long Beach. Unless otherwise noted in the schedule, all conference events will take place at the hotel as well. 

IMPORTANT: To receive conference room rate you must register through the link in the hotel reservation tab below. Regestration must be made by October 5, 2023 to receive the discounted rate.

Book your group rate for MMUF Western Regional Conference

On-site parking is available. Overnight self-parking fee reduced to $20.00 per vehicle, per night, plus tax for overnight hotel guests booking under the MMUF Western Regional Conference Link. The daily rate for guests not staying overnight is $30 for self-parking and $35 for valet parking.

Travel to Long Beach

 

Long Beach is served by three airports. 

Long Beach Airport (6 miles from conference hotel)

Los Angeles International Airport (23 miles from conference hotel)

John Wayne Airport, Orange County (23 miles from conference hotel)

Super-Shuttle serves all three airports. 

Bus 111 runs to the downtown Transit Gallery. 

 

Metro-Link

Take the G Shuttle (stops on lower level) to the Aviation Boulevard Green Line Station. 

Take the Metro C-Line train to the Willowbrook Station. 

Transfer to the Metro A-Line Station headed south to Long Beach. 

Exit 1st Street Station in Downtown Long Beach. 

Walk 5 minutes east on 1st Street to Hotel. 

Bus 

Metroline Bus 232 runs between LAX City Bus Center and the Long Beach Transit Gallery (see below). To get to the Bus Center, go the Pink Signs on the Lower Level at each terminal and take the Lot South/LAX City Bus Center shuttle. 

Approximate travel time 1 hour 30 minutes.   

Bus routes from the airport involve a transfer and will take two hours. 

Regional Travel To Long Beach

The Metro-A line (formerly known as the Blue Line) runs from downtown Los Angeles to Long Beach.  The closest stop is First Street. The hotel is a five-minute walk east on First Street from the Station. 

The First Street Transit Gallery serves as the focal point for most local and regional public transportation routes to downtown Long Beach. Its website provides links to regional routes

Covid Resources

  • If you feel sick, stay home from work and away from others. Test right away. If you test positive, notify your work, and follow isolation requirements at ph.lacounty.gov/covid  
  • If you are at high risk of getting very sick from COVID-19, call your doctor or the DPH Telehealth Service to ask about medications to treat COVID-19 2 if you test positive.

  • If you test positive during the conference, please reach out to your MMUF campus contact immediately.
  • Upon your arrival at the Courtyard Marriott, please check in at the MMUF Welcome Table to retrieve your name badge, program, and welcome bag. 
  • In the interest of the health and wellness of conference attendees, your welcome bag will include masks, hand sanitizer, and covid tests. Testing is recommended and voluntary.
