Flooring Abatement & Door Paint Restoration.

Alternative Routes The 4th-floor corridor from stairs and elevators will remain open to access wings B and C. Containment will be set up to minimize disturbance.
Schedules Start/Completion

Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 4, 2024.

8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Why is the Project Necessary? The project is necessary to remove the flooring and wall plaster that was damaged by the rainwater. While SERVPRO working, Terra Environmental will be on site, monitoring abatement and completion. Upon completion, Terra Environmental will provide clearance testing and reporting.

April King Hall Project- Additional Information

SERVPRO's Scope of Work

  1. Set proper containment and engineering controls.
  2. Remove window treatments and protect with plastic.
  3. Remove the impacted plaster wall. (negative for asbestos).
  4. Remove 9x9 VCT flooring and adhesive (positive for asbestos).
  5. Prepare the area for post-asbestos clearance testing (by others).
  6. South Coast AQMD 10-day notification fee.
  7. Door casing and jambs lead-based paint RRP.

Schedule of Work

4/2/24: Day One

Mobilization - Containment & Equipment Set Up.

  • Assembling containment, establishing engineering controls: floor-to-ceiling plastic inside office rooms, de-containment extending 5'-6' into the corridor.
  • Lead door paint clean-up
4/3/24: Day Two

Flooring abatement, water-damaged plaster removal.

  • Stairwells will remain open.
  • The material will be sealed, transported, and removed from the site.
  • Technicians will wear Painter suits – not hazmat suits- with SERVPRO identifiable uniforms.
4/4/24: Day Three

Final Clean-up

  • Clearance Testing
  • Demobilization
  • Completion
