    • Create an alumni account on Handshake using your personal email.
      • Your request will be pending our verification of your alumni status.
      • You will receive an email from Handshake when approved.
  • Find potential employers mapped by college majors; search: Employers by Major

  • Use our Résumé and Letter Builder to create and customize your résumé and cover letter for each opportunity.
    • Choose modern and professional résumé and cover letter templates that ensure your documents are readable by applicant tracking systems.
    • Use the AI feedback and job keyword analysis to make sure your documents align with the job.
  • Key Skills for Alumni – Highlight skills employers value across industries, such as:
    • Industry-specific Skills - See how your academic background and career experience build hard skills aligned with your industry.
    • Skills-First Initiative - Identify transferable skills from your professional experience using standardized job-skill language.

How to Write a Résumé That Stands Out 

  • Use our Interview Practice System → choose a mock interview → select a general one and choose an industry interview to practice.
    • Get AI feedback on your interview performance in the Interview Practice System, including tips on how to respond to job and industry-specific questions.
    • Complete a Fast Track or Mastery Track lesson on the Interview Practice System to learn how to address the most frequent interview questions.
