I have had a relationship with Cal State LA since 2006 when I entered as a graduate student. I’ve had various roles during my tenure here at the University: pre-health advisor, program coordinator, and academic advisor. I understand this university well, from the student perspective and from the staff perspective. The academic senate allows staff a voice in the decision-making process. Like all organizations, Cal State LA has problems to solve, the academic senate allows us to solve those problems and establish policy through shared governance. Through collaboration with administration, faculty, and staff we can make this a stronger university.
