Department of Art

The ART Department is a vibrant community of artists, designers, educators and historians dedicated to helping future generations realize their dreams. We are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and nationally recognized. The degree programs; Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts are structured so that students have the opportunity to acquire an understanding of the variety of subjects encompassed within the visual arts as well as to develop excellence in a specific area. They are Animation; Art Education; Art History; Graphic Design/Visual Communication; Fashion and Textiles; and Studio Arts, which include ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and new genre.

Bridgette Candice (BA '2017) and Roxy Gonzalez (BA '2016) in collaboration with the artist and
fellow alumnus Frank Romero. This exhibition was organized in conjunction with Dreamland: A Frank Romero Retrospective on view at MOLAA.

The Foundation of Heaven: The Great Temple of The Aztecs Symposium in homage to Eduardo Matos Moctezuma
Art of the Ancient Americas Program of LACMA and the Art History Society of California State University Los Angeles will hold two-day 2017 Mesoamerican Symposium. This symposium will take place in the Bing Theater at LACMA on Friday, April 21, and at California State University, Los Angeles on Saturday, April 22.
