COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Under a newly revised California State University policy, the COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required at CSU campuses but is strongly recommended. Cal State LA is implementing this policy. Effective April 6, 2023, the revised policy strongly recommends vaccines as a safety measure to help prevent serious illness.

On-Campus COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinics

Cal State LA has partnered with AltaMed and QueensCare Health Centers to host free COVID-19 vaccination and booster clinics and flu vaccination clinics.

Cal State LA and AltaMed are hosting a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on campus on Thursday, May 4. The pop-up clinic is open to the community and will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. outside University Library North

Updated booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available. The updated (bivalent) boosters are called “bivalent” because they protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5. The clinic will offer Pfizer bivalent boosters for ages 12 and older and Moderna bivalent boosters for ages 6 and older. The bivalent boosters are now approved and recommended by the CDC for use as single dose vaccines.

Remember to bring a document or ID that includes your first and last name and your vaccination card if you will be receiving your second dose or a booster. The vaccine is free regardless of your health insurance status or your immigration status. No questions will be asked about immigration status.

Appointments are recommended, but not required. Please use the links below to make appointments for the clinic. Use the dropdown to select your desired vaccine dose, then select May 4 on the calendar, and choose your desired appointment time.
