Food Safety at Cal State LA

The RMEHS is the only department that has the authority to grant temporary food permits for on-campus food activities and/or events. Any sponsor responsible for food-related activities must first consult 'Cal State LA's Temporary Food Permit Requirements and Guidelines' to request a specific temporary food permit. 

Any food-related activity or event that lacks proper authorization or a valid permit may face immediate shutdown. Please pay special attention to the regulations concerning BBQs on campus before planning and executing any such event.
