Template 

  1. Throughout the term, students log main points and questions about reading assignments. 
  2. Students can structure an entry in their reading journal into three sections:  
    1. Before you start reading 
      1. Ask what students expect from the title and abstract. 
    2. While you read 
      1. Note "Moments that Stood Out to you" with quotes or a paraphrase. 
      2. State why.  
    3. After you finish reading 
      1. Did you learn what you expected?  
      2. How did your expectations align or differ?  
  3. Students complete at least one entry and debrief the results of their reading journals
