- Throughout the term, students log main points and questions about reading assignments.
 - Students can structure an entry in their reading journal into three sections:  
	
- Before you start reading 
		
- Ask what students expect from the title and abstract.
 
 - While you read 
		
- Note "Moments that Stood Out to you" with quotes or a paraphrase.
 - State why.
 
 - After you finish reading 
		
- Did you learn what you expected?
 - How did your expectations align or differ?
 
 
 - Before you start reading 
		
 - Students complete at least one entry and debrief the results of their reading journals
