University Advancement at Cal State LA strengthens student success by securing philanthropic support, building community partnerships, and elevating the university’s visibility. Working closely with alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents, and students, the division raises vital funds for scholarships, research, and state-of-the-art facilities. University Advancement leads fundraising, alumni engagement, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, donor stewardship, communications, major campus events, and the arts. Together, we empower dreams and transform lives—helping our Cal State LA community soar.

Alumni Association
The Alumni Association serves as a vital connection between the university, its alumni, and the greater Los Angeles community. Its primary mission is to promote the university’s interests, foster meaningful relationships among alumni, faculty, staff, and students, and strengthen alumni engagement and contributions to the campus community.
Cal State LA Foundation
The Cal State LA Foundation provide and augment funding for the University, not otherwise available or funded by the California State University system. Gifts made to the Foundation support student scholarships, programs and services that enrich academic opportunities at Cal State LA.
The Luckman Fine Arts Complex
Since 1994, The Luckman has been a vibrant cultural hub of East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley. It is where the transformative power of the arts is celebrated, elevated, and made available for all. On stage, on view, on demand: The Luckman presents professional music, dance, theatre, and visual arts from around the world.
