College Advisement
The Academic Advisement Center (AAC) acts as a "School Based Advisement Center" for Pre-Nursing students. AAC Faculty and Graduate Peer Advisers provide academic advisement and all related services for pre-nursing students. This includes: First time freshmen, transfer students, and students not yet officially accepted into the Nursing program.

The School of Nursing Advisement office provides several services for Nursing students that have been accepted into one of our Nursing programs.
- Program planning for on-going School of Nursing Students
- Petitions for general education and excess units
- Graduation checks
- Health Clearance
Once accepted into the School of Nursing you are assigned a program advisor. To schedule an appointment with your program advisor call (323)343-4730 or come to the advisement office in ST F415. Advisors are not available by phone or for walk-in appointments. Appointments must be scheduled in advance.
If you are not sure who your faculty advisor is check the Graduate and Undergraduate bulletin boards. All Generic BSN students are given their advisor at orientation.
All RN’s need to schedule an initial advisement appointment with Mr. Jon Christensen the RN-BSN program coordinator.
