Like a number of students at Cal State L.A., I didn't start here as a freshman. I transferred from Glendale Community College after completing my general education courses. Transferring allowed me to save money while I finished my GE classes and figured out exactly what I wanted to do.
Once I settled on anthropology, I applied to Cal State L.A. The University has a great program, with lots of opportunities to work in the field. And the University made the process so easy! With the electronic transfer of transcripts, online resources and counselors, I was taking classes in no time. It's very important, though, that you stay on top of deadlines and get EVERYTHING in on time! Get prepared by stopping by the admissions office in Student Affairs or visit the transfer services site online.
