23rd Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony

The 23rd Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 1996, in the Harriet and Charles Luckman Fine Arts Complex on campus. A 1995 Distinguished Alumna/us from each academic school will be announced, as will the Alumni Award of Merit recipient and the university-wide Outstanding Alumna or Alumnus for 1995. In addition, the Alumni Association will award scholarships to ten outstanding juniors and seniors.

The following CSLA alumni have been honored at past Alumni Awards Ceremonies: novelist Joseph Wambaugh, entertainer Billy Barty, tennis professional Billie Jean King, County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, State Senator Diane Watson, L.A. Sheriff Sherman Block, LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Brown and Root Vice President Robert Fintland, Arthur Andersen partner Andrew Krinock, famed educator Jaime Escalante, Pacific Bell President and CEO Phil Quigley, Mayor Tom Bradley, muralist Kent Twitchell, Automobile Club of Southern California CEO and President Tom McKernan, and NASA astronaut Sam Durrance.
