Cal State L.A. School of Engineering and Technology
Announces its 1999-2000 Outstanding Student

Los Angeles, CA - January 4, 2000 - The School of Engineering and Technology at California State University, Los Angeles recently announced Wenbin Zhuang as its "1999-2000 Outstanding Civil Engineering Student."

Selected for his outstanding scholarship, leadership and service, Zhuang will be recognized for this honor at the University's Engineering Week 2000 and annual Honors Convocation.

Zhuang, who currently holds a 3.92 GPA, is working toward a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Cal State L.A. Additionally, he is serving as a master-level tutor on campus, conducting workshops and assisting students with their studies in courses related to engineering, Calculus and Physics. An international student from China, Zhuang received his associate degree in Art at the University of Macau, Macao.

Zhuang is an active member of Chi Epsilon and the American Society for Civil Engineers, and has been on the Dean's List since 1997. He has received numerous scholarships, including the Sikand Scholarship, Cal State L.A.'s Civil Engineering Department Scholarship, Los Angeles County Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors Scholarship, Asian Support Group Scholarship, B.L. Hoyt Scholarship, and Macao University Scholarship.
