Cal State L.A. to Present a Talk by Artist John Nava

What & Who:
The Art Department at California State University, Los Angeles will feature a lecture by Artist John Nava. Nava created all of the tapestries for the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. For this project, Nava painted 140 separate images to represent saints. The paintings were then photographed, digitized, and sent to Belgium where they were made into large tapestries that now line the walls of the Cathedral.

When:
Wednesday, January 22, 2003, 6 p.m.

Where:
Cal State L.A. University-Student Union, Los Angeles Rooms A & B. The University is located at the Eastern Ave. exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of 10 and 710 Fwys. Public permit dispenser parking is available in Lots C and G or upper level Parking Structure II.

The lecture is sponsored by the CSULA Art Department and Student Union Programming. All students and the public are invited.
