Cal State L.A. to hold forums to educate college students about the new affordable healthcare coverage

 

WHAT:         With enrollment now open for the new state health insurance exchange, Cal
                       State L.A. will hold student-to-student informational forums this week to
                       inform and educate college students about the low-cost options of Covered
                       California under the Affordable Care Act.

MORE:           The forums, which will be held at Cal State L.A. and other California State University (CSU) campuses, will feature a slideshow outlining student insurance opportunities and options under the new law. The student speakers will also be available to answer questions regarding eligibility, costs, and financial assistance available to those qualified.

The forums, taking place statewide, are a part of the CSU Health Insurance Education Project, which is being coordinated by CSULA, in collaboration with the Chancellor’s Office and many other CSU campuses.

Wednesday, Oct. 23, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Salazar Hall C-14

Thursday, Oct. 24, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Salazar Hall C-98/C-99

      5-6 p.m., Salazar Hall C-98/C-99

      7-8 p.m., Salazar Hall C-98/C-99
