Welcome

The Emeriti Association of California State University, Los Angeles, is an organization dedicated to enhancing the status and condition of the University's emeriti faculty, and to strengthening their ties to the University. It supports and encourages the University in carrying out its stated policy of "fostering an active continuity of relationship with emeriti." The Association seeks to demonstrate the value of emeriti to the University and its active faculty. It undertakes to direct attention to the importance of retirement issues and to assist in their resolution, for the benefit of the entire University community.

Upcoming events

  • Executive Committee Meetings are open to the membership. They take place on the third Thursday of the month (except December and July) via Zoom from 1:00PM to 2:30 PM.  If you'd like to join in, email Kevin Baaske ([email protected]) to obtain the Zoom link. The next meeting is on September 17.
  • The Welcome Reception for New Emeriti Faculty will take place on Friday, October 2nd from 11:30 AM - 2 PM at the University Club. The event is free, but space is limited. To register, please email Patrica Chin at [email protected] by September 16. Please indicate the number of guests that will attend.
  • Fellowship Award Ceremony - date will be available soon.

2025-2026 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIP RECOGNITION EVENT

The Emeriti Association recognized and celebrated the 2025–2026 Scholarship and Fellowship recipients during its Annual Recognition Event, held via Zoom. This year’s awardees represent seven colleges and fifteen academic programs.
