CSI Let's Talk About Sex 22-23

Text: Center for Student Involvement Presents, Let's Talk About Sex

Let's Talk About Sex was a 3-part series of inclusive, informative sex-positivity workshops that focused on the history/origins of sex positivity, the importance of communicating about pleasure, and consensual intimate interactions.

25 students in total participated in the series.

This program was centered around sexual health and wellness, through a sex-positive lens/perspective. Through this series, student participants had an opportunity to enhance their knowledge around sexual health, which can benefit their personal and social lives.

The program aimed to educate students about sexual health and wellness.

According to the survey data, the Let's Talk About Sex Series benefited the student participants' overall sexual health and well-being. Most participants strongly agreed that the presentations they had attended were beneficial to their sexual health and provided them with relevant information about their health and wellness lifestyle. Student participants also strongly agreed that they intended to use the information they learned during the presentation to better their overall sexual health.

The results show that students are interested in similar and new topics for this series. Therefore, the next steps for this series are to implement more sex-positive topics for future series and identify additional campus partners to collaborate on these workshops. Additionally, CSI plans to revamp the existing topics, add new discussion points, and use this assessment data to implement more sexual health programs outside of just small educational workshops.
