Join the Student Health Center and campus partners to support survivors, learn about healthy relationships, and help create a safer campus community. Throughout April, attend workshops, trainings, and events designed to empower students and promote respect.

Events & Programs

Attend the LA premiere of Dear Lara, a powerful documentary that confronts the “open secrets,” silence, and complicity surrounding abuse in the classical music world. The film centers survivor voices and calls for institutional accountability and change. Q&A with the filmmaker to follow.

An anonymous, judgment-free Q&A focused on sex, relationships, and sexual health. Students can submit questions and receive honest, evidence-based answers in a safe and supportive environment.

Learn how to recognize concerning behaviors and safely support friends in unhealthy or potentially harmful situations. This training equips students with practical tools to intervene and connect peers to campus resources.

Learn about myths and facts: test your knowledge and challenge common misconceptions. Presented by Lauren Dorst, Peace Over Violence and facilitated by Devika Hazra, Cal State LA
  • Explore real-world scenarios: how would you respond to a disclosure of abuse?
  • Engage in a survivor-centered discussion: what support systems exist, and how can we improve them?
  • Learn bystander intervention strategies: learn how to safely intervene and support peers.
  • Peace Over Violence is a nonprofit, multicultural, community-based, and volunteer-centered organization dedicated to building healthy relationships, families, and communities free from sexual, domestic, and interpersonal violence.

Jenesse Student Leadership Conference

 

 

Kick off Denim Day by learning its history and impact. This event raises awareness about sexual violence, shares survivor resources, and invites students to take part in campus-wide advocacy.
