The Hidden Crisis of Asian American Mental Health and How to Address It
This workshop addresses critical mental health challenges facing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. Dr. Hahm will present a model that examines how the intersection of family expectations, gender roles, and U.S. social structures can lead to feelings of "never being good enough" or "suffering alone."
Learn how to apply a practical, culturally responsive intervention to foster resilience, authentic emotional expression, and belonging with AAPI individuals and families.
Facilitated by Dr. Hyeouk "Chris" Hahm, Professor and Associate Dean for Research at Boston University School of Social Work. Committed to addressing health disparities, Dr. Hahm focuses on documenting health risk behaviors among underserved populations.
