El Nido College Bound Programs
In 2022, Pathway Programs and El Nido Family Service Centers were awarded a Community Partnership Initiative (CPI) Grant by the California State University System to start a College Bound Program. This funding allowed El Nido to expand its longstanding relationship with Cal State LA and further develop leadership opportunities for current El Nido participants/clients who attend Cal State LA. K-12 El Nido participants in the College Bound Program receive academic tutoring, peer to peer mentoring, and workshops hosted by current El Nido college students who attend Cal State LA. These college mentors receive specialized leadership training from Pathway Programs to support the work that we do in the South Los Angeles El Nido community.

Gear Up 4 LA
Our GEAR UP 4 LA Programs are dedicated to building powerful futures for local area students by providing supportive services for low-income middle school students each year until they matriculate at Cal State LA and complete their first year. We are funded by LAUSD to provide college campus visits, parent academies and workshops related to how to get into college and succeed.

Student Leader Program
The Student Leader Program provides mentoring and leadership development for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. Students are selected/qualify to participate in work study or receive student stipends and/or student paid positions to provide services to the programs we provide in the general service area. The goal of this program is to prepare future leaders to enter the workforce with a set of skills that makes them essential to the career and work setting they choose.
