Fellows have the opportunity to present their work in the following formats:
Poster Presentations: (2:00-3:00 PM on Friday, November 3)
The poster presentation session will be an interactive event in which individuals present their research on posters. The required poster size is 36” x 48” and should be of professional conference quality. Presenters should be prepared to answer any challenging questions regarding their research. The presenters will clip the posters to the padded board on the easel (clips, padded board and easel are provided by the conference organizer) before the presentation starts.
Presenters should bring their printed posters with them to the conference.
Oral Presentations: 8-10 minutes per presenter (60-minute sessions) at various locations
The oral presentation sessions will allow presenters to present and discuss their research. The presentation may include audio or visual aids. Presentations will be organized into panels based on research similarities. Each presenter has up to 10 minutes to present. Q&A is held after all presentations are completed.
Note: Presenters are required to bring their own flash drive containing all the visuals needed for their presentation.
Talking Circle/Roundtable: 60 minutes at various locations
Talking Circle is for junior (first year) fellows who just started their research projects. Participants will be organized into smaller groups based on research interests. One coordinator is assigned to each group as an observer. Initiated by fellows, the discussions should develop organically.
Talking Circle/Roundtable presenters do not deliver any formal presentations or pre-written remarks.
