Primary sources are firsthand accounts historians use to learn about past events, people and everyday life. Just like detectives, historians look at clues, sift through evidence and research conclusions. Studying primary sources can help make history seem more real and relevant to you. Explore physical and digitized resources, as well as strategies for conducting primary source research for your next assignment. Feel free to bring research topics for current assignments or personal interests.
