Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Cal State LA has been a pillar in the greater Los Angeles Area for 75 years. To celebrate the 75th anniversary, the University Library presents an exhibition featuring archival documents, photographs, and artifacts from Special Collections and Archives to commemorate our university.
To honor the seven decades of our university, the team curated three sections that focus on students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the campus community. We developed a timeline of significant events that affected Cal State LA and the greater Los Angeles Area, showcased campus fashions through the decades, and highlighted student organizations. In centering Cal State LA history and students, faculty, staff, alumni, and campus community, Cal State LA will continue to dedicate itself to the public good of Los Angeles and beyond.
