Description
Dr. Allison Mattheis (Charter College of Education at Cal State LA) presents her research complicating perceptions of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields as spaces in which personal identity is subsumed in the pursuit of a single-minded focus on objective scientific truths. In particular, Dr. Mattheis and her co-researchers seek to answer a question that is more than just “what do scientists think about being queer?” or “how many queer scientists are there?”
