Tinikling [TEEH-NEEHK-LING] is one of the most famous folk dances in the Philippines. Its rhythmic activities and dance embodies art and the history of the Filipino culture. Dancers imitate the tikling bird's legendary grace and speed as they walk between grass stems and dodge bamboo traps set by rice farmers.
